“Hear,
O Israel: Yahweh (is) our Elohim (God). Yahweh (is) one! You shall love Yahweh your
Elohim with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.” The
context began with the words, “Hear, O Israel,” which means, “Listen
up and obey!” This is followed by a
clear declaration of who the Elohim (God) of Israel is – It is Yahweh!
Next is the command, “You shall love!” I have two questions for you,
now. 1. Is love a concrete action or an abstract notion?
2. Do you do love or do you feel love?
