Concrete Actions or Abstract Notions

 

The other night I was working on a translation of the parable of Jesus about “destroying the Torah.” A CNN Breaking News announcement caught my attention. Students on university campuses were shouting “death to Israel,” “applauding what Hamas did to the Israeli citizens,” and shouting “death to America.” What I was seeing made absolutely no sense!
