It is important to understand that Yahweh is the owner of the Garden. When Eve took the forbidden fruit and ate it -- they took Yahweh’s property without His permission. In addition, they also broke a dietary commandment – they ate prohibited food. So, unfaithfulness to Yahweh, stealing His property, and eating a prohibited food are all part of the charges against Adam. Yahweh’s breath will leave the bodies of Adam and Eve.
