There was a decades long gap, between the time Jesus taught and the appearance of Paul’s writings. Then there was another decades-long gap before writings with the teachings of Jesus appeared. It is important to put all information on a timeline. I will warn you that using this process will challenge any "unexamined beliefs" that may be in your belief system.
